Welcome to our classes and events center. 

Please drop by Moonrise Herbs on the plaza or call at (707) 822-5296 for updated information on additional classes and/or free talks, and also for more detailed information on the following classes. Class sizes are limited, so register early. Payment is required at the time of registration. If you must cancel, we ask that you call at least 24 hours ahead.  Refunds are at the discretion of the teacher. The store remains open after class for purchases, so you can get the tools you need to begin (or continue!) your journey to health.

 Ava is an ever-inspired student of the Earth.  Building on her knowledge from obtaining a degree in Botany and studying herbal medicine for the last several years, she continued to devote herself and her life to the Plant Kingdom.  Her classes aim to lay a meaningful foundation foe every being who chooses to walk the plant path.

Join Herbalist Susan Marie at the Arcata Marsh to explore what Spring Herbal Allies are growing!  We will learn how to safely identify medicinal plants, ethical harvesting techniques, and what to do with the plants once you have harvested them!  This class will be family friendly and is sure to be a good time!  Bring a plant id book/field guide if you have one!

Join Herbalist Alex & learn folk medicine formulations.  You will learn to make your own personalized herbal infused oil, a silky smooth salve & learn how to make and strain you homemade tinctures.  We will also be making a tea blend to get us through the last of the winter!

Be prepared to mix in your own magic and learn to take charge of your herbal medicine making.  We will be focused on herbs that can be used for all ages and even your pets!  Bring your favorite mug for tea, a notebook, and an open mind to absorb all the information that will be coming your way.  Leave with a special tea blend and magical salve we prepare together.

Interested in learning what pendulums are and how to use them?

In this class, we will talk about intuition and subtle energies as well as explore our innate intuitive capabilities.  We will work with our pendulums to create a flower essence formula specifically designed to bring alignment to our unique energy signatures.

Flower essences work on an etheric level - they are an energetic imprint of the healing soul within each individual plant.  Thus each plant's essence or imprint works to attune one's unique energy system with the healing archetype of the essence.

 Arika Schroeder began waling the plant path in 2014 with Jane Bothwell's herbal programs at Dandelion Herbal Center and has furthered her studies through many classes and journeys ever since.  She strives to focus on living an actualized and well life, loves to serve her community, friends, and family and is a beloved part of the Moonrise team.
